I guess everyone remembers that scene in S3 where Melisandre tells Arya they would run across once more. I don't think D&D pulled that dialogue out of their asses for whatever reason. They must take had something in mind since they wrote that.
Practise y'all call back Arya and Melisandre will meet in S8 or did D&D have and thought of them meeting at some betoken, but scrapped it for some reason.
I imagine it must be something meaning, since they planted that Chekhov's gun as early as S3.

This. Why would they accept Jon banish her due south if non for this? He could have executed her, he could have banished her in a general sense, leaving her to go wherever she wanted every bit long every bit she got out of his sight but he was specific well-nigh her being exiled to the South where Arya currently is.

This is a show only chat, and then it does seem that they had something in listen with this all along. It would make SO much sense for Melisandre to finish up dead by Arya's hands at the beginning of Season seven. Mel dying at the beginning of Flavor seven could also be why Catrice didn't seem to be doing annihilation this season.

I agree. Everyone expects it and it should take interesting payoff. Geography would imply information technology will happen simply with Mel traveling south and Arya traveling n on the Kingsroad. It could be much more interesting if they run into when Mel is in old crone guise and Arya wearing a face. One or both could see through the facade. How would that play out, I wonder.

This wasn't in the leaks so I'one thousand probably wrong, but, idea they might pay this off early this season while Arya is returning N, she crossed paths with Melisandre while she isn't glamoured. Arya doesn't know it'south Mel, but we know.

It would be interesting to see if Mel tells Arya she did not impale Gendry and that she saved Jon Snow. Would Arya let her alive?

Resurrecting Sansa, well if LF does indeed kill her. Mel could come dorsum to Winterfell has the Former Woman nosotros saw in episode 1. But season 3 had a lot of dropped storylines. Nigh notably the scene were Varys shows Tyrion the Warlock he has confided with his mouth sowed shut. That went no where.

I concord, though I hope it doesn't happen. Amend LF just kills her or Sansa stays alive in full general. Being resurrected past Mel symbolically puts Sansa (who I loathe) close to Jon status. By no standard does she deserve that, specially since as Jon's BotB ally she did not tell him about the Vale ground forces. Now that was a figurative stab in the dorsum
